Top 100 Retailers - Canada owns 2! Louis Vuitton tops the list!
Louis Vuitton tops this list. And West Edmonton Mall just convinced them to leave their location in downtown Edmonton at Holt Renfrew to open up a store in their mall. This makes me want to boycott them and box up all my Louis purses.
What really bothers me is that there are only 2 Canadian retailers on this entire list. So if this doesn't scream to you how serious this is, when retail is a MULTI TRILLION dollar industry, I don't know what will
This list alone is proof that Canada can not compete and no government over the last 2 decades has done anything to fix this. Retail clothing is a multi TRILLION dollar industry, and every Canadian needs to wear clothes. in Canada, we have 2 in the top 100. Gilden Activewear, and the Bay (who has a store in west edmonotn mall that was never busy). Louis Vuitton tops the list. No wonder west edmonton mall wants them to sign a lease. So, only 2 retailers make the top 100 list, and small businesses are all gone? where is all the money that Canadians spend on clothing going?
